Hi Mentees,
We’ve decided on trying a new format to the MSMP Pulse. Previous Pulses have been primarily authored by individuals within the MSMP Board. Our new format now incorporates direct feedback and advice from JABSOM medical students. 42 MSMP mentors contributed to this particular issue of the Pulse (attached to this post).
In the document we seek to cover a number of topics including gap years, family/relationship planning while in medical school, non-tradiational applicants and re-applicants.
We also recommend reviewing some of the AAMC’s new resources including:
- A revamped “Aspiring Docs Series” which includes new and/or improved sections about life as a medical student, inspiring stories, advice from the experts and other great application resources
